| New Southern Edition Bluegrass is a traditional bluegrass band with a heart for Gospel and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. The band was founded by Louis Dawson and his two daughters in 2001. Louis and his daughters have been playing and singing bluegrass music ever since the girls were very young. Although one daughter is no longer with the band, Sally Stuart and her husband Mark along with their daughter, Whitney, continue in the family tradition of bluegrass Gospel music. They are joined by Justin Maynard of Scotland who plays banjo and dobro and Gary West of Canaan who plays mandolin. After much prayer and mutual agreement, the band has recently felt the need to be an all gospel band. The band performs original and traditional gospel tunes at festivals and churches all over Arkansas. You can meet all the band members by clicking on the "meet the band" link at the top of the page.
