Meet the Band
Louis lives in Clinton with his beautiful wife, Judy, and has been playing in bluegrass bands since the 1970's.  He plays the bass fiddle, his instrument of choice, but occassionally plays a mean guitar and mandolin.  He has 2 lovely daughters, Sally, who is in the band, and Susan and a son Robert who also plays guitar and lives in Florida.  Louis owns Dawson Music and Studio where he buys and sells vintage instruments along with new inventory.  He also runs a recording studio and installs sound systems in the area.
Gary has been playing the mandolin for over 20 years.  He is a retired math teacher who lives in Marshall with his lovely wife, Barbara.  Gary also plays in another bluegrass band, Boston Mountain, with his wife who plays the bass and sings.  You will occassionally see Gary picking a mean guitar.
Justin is 18 and lives in Scotland.  He plays banjo and dobro in the band, but also plays guitar, mandolin, bass and some fiddle.  He is a multi-talented boy that we are real proud of.
Whitney is 14, the newest member of the band and is the daughter of Mark and Sally.  She plays the fiddle and sings.  We are very proud to have her come on board.
Mark and Sally live in Conway with three of their six beautiful kids (the Brady Bunch).  All kids play a musical instrument, but their 2 younger kids, Whitney and Kennedi, are carrying on the bluegrass tradition by learning to play guitar and fiddle.  Mark was introduced to bluegrass after meeting and marrying Sally and loved it.  Now he is a bluegrass junky.  Sally has been singing with her sister, Susan, since she was 5 years old.  They have sang in their dad's bluegrass bands throughout the years.  Mark and Sally have written many of the songs on the band's  "Challenger" CD.  They enjoy camping, playing music and singing together.  Sally recently was appointed to be the editor of the Arkansas Bluegrass Association Newsletter.  If you would like to become a member and see what is going on in Arkansas Bluegrass, contact Sally through the band email.
